Communication via PC software ReadWin
The device can also be configured from the comfort of your PC/laptop. For this purpose, you need
a PC/laptop with installed ReadWin
software, and the optional configuration kit for connecting to the PC/laptop consisting of
configuration adapter and connecting cable. In this way, the field indicator can be directly
connected to a PC/laptop with a USB port. During configuration, power is supplied to the field
indicator by means of the configuration adapter. The device does not need any additional power
supply for configuration purposes.
Advantages of configuring via the PC:
• The device data are stored in a database and can be called up at any time
• Data can be entered more quickly and efficiently using the keyboard

Warning!
The device must be configured outside the hazardous area.
Proceed as follows to configure the field indicator by means of the PC:
1.
Install the PC software supplied on your computer (A:Install.exe).
If so required, you can print out the Operating Instructions of the program after installation.
2.
By means of the configuration adapter, connect the device to the PC.
3.
Start ReadWin
change unit set-up/add new unit .
4.
Adjust the device settings and select Finished --> Store set-up into unit data base . The
new set-up parameters are saved in the PC database.
The data now have to be transmitted to the device. For this purpose, select Finished -->
Transmit set-up to unit .
