G
t is important that you observe the
I
following information and warnings.
It is essential to observe the
instruction manual of the STIHL or
VIKING cordless power tool!
Warning: Dangerous voltage.
Persons who are unable to operate the
machine safely due to limited physical,
sensory or mental capacity may only use
the machine under the supervision of or
after instruction by a responsible person.
Supervise children to ensure that they do
not play with the machine.
Only use for charging geometrically
matching STIHL batteries with a maximum
capacity of 50 Ah and a maximum voltage
of 42 V.
Do not charge faulty, damaged or
deformed batteries.
Connect the charger only to the mains
voltage and mains frequency specified on
the rating plate – only connect the charger
to an easily accessible wall outlet.
Do not use the charger if it is defective or
damaged.
Do not open the charger.
Store the charger out of reach of children.
Protect from rain and dampness.
Operate and store indoors only in
dry rooms.
Operate the charger at ambient
temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C.
Do not cover the charger to ensure it can
cool down normally.
Never connect (short circuit) the charger's
contacts with metallic objects (e. g., nails,
coins, jewelry).
A short circuit may damage the charger.
If the charger begins to smoke or catches
fire, unplug the power plug immediately.
Do not insert objects in the ventilation slits
of the charger – risk of electric shock or
short circuit.
Do not operate on an easily combustible
surface (e. g., paper, textiles) or in an easily
4
combustible environment – risk of fire!
Do not operate in potentially explosive
atmospheres, i.e., in an environment
containing flammable liquids (fumes),
gases or dust. Chargers can produce
sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes -
risk of explosion!
Check the charger's connecting cord
regularly for damage. If the
connecting cord is damaged, unplug
it immediately – danger of
electrocution!
Never unplug the connecting cord by
pulling on the cable: always grip the plug
itself. Have a damaged connecting cord
repaired by a qualified electrician.
Do not use the connecting cord for any
other purposes, e. g., for carrying or
hanging up the charger.
Never use connecting cords that do not
comply with specifications.
Route and mark the power cord so that it
cannot become damaged or endanger
others – avoid danger of stumbling.
To reduce the risk of electric shock:
• Only connect the charger to a correctly
installed power outlet
• Make certain there are no flaws in the
insulation of the power cord and plug
Unplug the charger after use.
