■ Remove O-ring from stuffing box.
■ Pull the agitator shaft down out of the hub.
■ Remove the gland packing from the hub.
■ If necessary, push the brass bearing bush upwards out of the hub.
Assembly:
Damage from unsuitable tools
Unsuitable tools can damage the brass bushing during assembly.
→ Insert the brass bushing carefully, using a special tool.
■ If necessary, insert brass bearing bush in hub.
■ Push the agitator shaft into the hub from below.
■ Insert O-ring into stuffing box.
■ Insert the agitator shaft in the hub.
■ Wrap three graphite cords around the agitator shaft and press them into
the hub.
■ Screw the gland in so that the agitator shaft can be turned by hand
without applying force.

■ Fit the disc onto the agitator shaft.
■ Place lower coupling half on agitator shaft.
■ Fix the lower half of the coupling on the agitator shaft with the grub
screw.
■ Push the agitator shaft with the lower coupling half downwards into the
receptacle.
■ Push the adjusting ring with the washer upwards on the agitator shaft.
■ Tighten the threaded pin in the adjusting ring.
SATA FDG 24 / 48 with pneumatic / electric agitator with gear only
■ Mount the agitator blade on the agitator shaft and tighten the thread-
ed pin in the adjusting ring above the agitator shaft crosspiece (see
chapter 11.5).
■ Screw the hexagon nut onto the agitator shaft and tighten.
■ Insert the clutch disc.
■ Place the compressed air motor with gearbox and upper coupling half in
the correct position.
■ Tighten hexagon head screw.
■ Secure hexagon head screw with lock nut.
■ Mount the cover with pneumatic / electric agitator with gear on the mate-
