■ Mount the crank handle on the agitator shaft.
■ Mount the cover with manual agitator on the material pressure tank.
■ Close the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
SATA FDG 24 / 48 with pneumatic agitator without gear
Disassembly:
■ Open the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
■ Remove the cover with pneumatic agitator without gear.
■ Loosen the lock nut and then the hexagon head screw.
■ Loosen the threaded pin in the adjusting ring under the hub.
■ Push the adjusting ring with the washer downwards on the agitator
shaft.
■ Unscrew the hexagon nut from the agitator shaft.
■ Pull the agitator blade off the agitator shaft and loosen the threaded pin
in the adjusting ring above the agitator shaft crosspiece (see chap-
ter 11.5).
■ Push the compressed air motor and flex coupling upwards out of the
receptacle with the agitator shaft.
■ Loosen the grub screw in the lower half of the coupling.
■ Remove pneumatic motor with flex coupling.
■ Pull the agitator shaft down out of the hub.
■ Unscrew the stuffing box.
■ Remove O-ring from stuffing box.
■ Remove the gland packing from the hub.
■ If necessary, push the brass bearing bush upwards out of the hub.
Assembly:
Damage from unsuitable tools
Unsuitable tools can damage the brass bushing during assembly.
→ Insert the brass bushing carefully, using a special tool.
■ If necessary, insert brass bearing bush in hub.
■ Push the agitator shaft into the hub from below.
■ Wrap three graphite cords around the agitator shaft and press them into
the hub.
■ Insert O-ring into stuffing box.
■ Screw the gland in so that the agitator shaft can be turned by hand
without applying force.
■ Push the compressed air motor and flex coupling onto the agitator
