are not working.
The Solution
Press the power button (power button gets dark), then
unplug.
Ensure that the power supply outlet is live. Connect a
lamp. After approx. 20 minutes of being idle, the appli-
ance will switch off automatically. Press the power button
to switch on the appliance.
Wait until the power button is illuminated continuously.
Then try again.
The water tank must be filled with at least 250ml of
water. If required, fill the water tank. Then try again.
Ensure that the water tank is installed correctly at the rear
of the appliance. Without violence push the water tank
down.
While the appliance is heating, the hot water/steam func-
tions are not available. Turn the hot water/steam switch
back to the vertical position and wait, until the power
button is illuminated continuously. Then try again.
Get in contact with an authorized service
centre for examination and repair.
For generating steam, the appliance increases the water
temperature. Thus, with the steam function selected
(steam button is illuminated), the brewing functions are
not available. Switch off the steam function and cool
down the water system manually (see: 'Cooling Down to
Brewing Temperature').
