DCS codes can be added to channels to create a sort of private channel. Thus, you can
communicate with other users who are on the same channel and have set the same DCS code.
Options:
• Off
• D023N-D754N (normal DCS), D023I-D754I (inverted DCS).
Disables the transceiver speaker in the absence of a specific low level digital signal. If the
transceiver you are listening to does not transmit this specific signal, you will not hear anything.

Like DCS codes, CTCSS tones can be added to channels to create private channels.
Options:
• Off
• 67.0 - 254.1Hz
Disables the transceiver speaker in the absence of a specific continuous signal that cannot be
heard (non-audible). If the transceiver you are listening to does not transmit this specific and
continuous signal, you will not hear anything.
