screen. In stand-by mode, long press the MENU key to change to frequency mode (VFO) and
channel mode (MR). After selecting the channel or frequency, press the PTT key to make a call.
Speak into the microphone in a normal tone of voice. The red LED lights up.
Release the PTT key to receive. The LED turns green when the transceiver receives a signal.

Channel selection

The transceiver has two operating modes: frequency mode (VFO) and channel mode (MR).
For daily use, the channel mode is much more practical than the frequency mode. The frequency
mode is recommended for experimentation out in the field and for programming channels into
memory.
In channel mode (MR), press the keys ▲/▼ to navigate between channels.
Frequency mode (VFO)
In frequency mode, you can navigate through the band using the keys▲/▼. With each press you
will increase the frequency according to the frequency step set in the menu.
You can also input frequencies directly on your numeric keypad with kilohertz accuracy.
The example below uses a frequency step of 12.5KHz.
