In channel mode, to add or remove a channel to/from the scanning list, access menu no. 18
(Scan Add):
On: activates the scanning function on the current channel.
Off: remove the current channel from scanning.
Scan CTCSS/DCS tones/codes
Scanning of CTCSS/DCS tones/codes can be done both in channel mode and in frequency
mode. Also, scanning CTCSS/DCS tones/codes can be done even in the absence of a signal.
Scanning is done only when a signal is received.
Not all repeaters that require a CTCSS tone or a DCS code for access will also transmit one back.
In this case, the transmission of a transceiver that can access the repeater should be scanned. In
other words, this can be done by listening to the stations on the input frequency of the repeater.
Scan CTCSS tones
This function allows scanning frequencies that have activated CTCSS tones.
Press the MENU - [3] - [1] keys to access menu no. 31 (SEEK 67.0Hz).
SEEK 67.0Hz will appear on the screen
Press the MENU key to start scanning. Press the EXIT key to stop scanning.
