Secure all airbag clips (while making sure to follow the
steps in order!). Fold the airbag
zipper and all hook and loop fasteners.
Always keep the compressor compartment
closed to ensure no materials can get sucked into the compres-
sor and block the airbag from deploying.
Storage, cleaning, and usage life of the product
Always keep the airbag backpack in a cool, dry place (at a tem-
perature of between 5–25 °C at an ambient humidity of 30–
60%). Make sure the backpack is always completely dry befo-
re putting it into storage. Never apply acidic or corrosive chemi-
cals to the backpack.

Cleaning
Please remove the entire airbag system
performing a thorough cleaning. Clean the backpack by hand
with lukewarm (max. 40 °C) tap water and a very mild
cleaner (e.g., a neutral soap). Do not allow it to dry near a
direct heat source.
Discarding
Do not discard the product with your normal household
garbage.
Do not destroy the product mechanically or by burning it,
since ...
• doing so is dangerous.
• Never discard electronic devices together with your
household garbage.
• Bring electronic devices to special recycling centers for
disposal.
• Never discard batteries together with your household
garbage.
• They contain poisonous heavy metals and must be disposed
of in accordance with special waste mandates.
• The chemical symbols for heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium,
Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
• Only discard completely discharged batteries.
• First remove the batteries before throwing out the device.
• Take the batteries to an appropriate recycling center.
• You can learn more details from your regional waste
management authority.
Usage life of the product:
Improper use, closure, malfunctioning fastener clips, chemical
contamination, heat infiltration (melting of belt straps or seams),
or improper care are a few examples of how the product's usa-
ge life can be shortened, limited, or destroyed altogether. At this
point it can no longer be guaranteed to provide optimal protection.
In principle, if the product is used appropriately, you can expect a
maximum usage life of five years (from the date of purchase) and
a total lifespan of seven years (from the date of manufacture). The
ALPRIDE E2 AIRBAG system can be deployed no more than 50
times. The label sewn into the backpack indicates the month and
year of manufacture.

The ALPRIDE E2 AIRBAG system is powered by two AA batteries. It
should not be used with either lithium ion/lithium polymer rechar-
geable batteries or with gas cartridges or pyrotechnic activators.
The ALPRIDE E2 AIRBAG system is not subject to any special tra-
vel restrictions and is not a hazardous item as per the regulations
on hazardous items.
Even though the ALPRIDE E2 AIRBAG system may not be subject
to any special travel restrictions, we recommend notifying the air-
line before traveling that you have an electric avalanche airbag
WITHOUT rechargeable batteries in your baggage. The ALPRIDE
E2 AIRBAG system features a pressure release valve.
