• The help menu "HELP" contains an English help text for all adjustment elements.
• On the DSO there are only the BNC measuring jacks for channel 1 (=CH1),
channel 2 (=CH2), the external trigger input (=EXT.) and the calibration output
(CAL.).
All settings on the DSO take place on the computer through the supplied software.
Measuring software
Start the computer and, before starting the software, make the USB connection
between the computer and DSO.
Start in the start menu
folder "DIGITAL OSC"
"dso2100u".
The start screen of the measuring software appears and initialises the DSO (audible
"click" sound). Then click on to the start image.
The software is now ready for use.
DSO mode
Description of the operating/setting elements and function or signifi-
cance of these in the main window (with scope screen (13)).
Open symbol
If already stored curves/measuring text exist, the storage file can be opened with a
mouse click. The data contained in the stored file are then displayed on the scope
screen.
Save symbol
If a current signal course is to be stored, open "graph and config. save by clicking
with the mouse on to this symbol". You can now store your measuring signal in exist-
ing folders or create new folders and give them corresponding file names.
Print symbol
If an appropriate printer has been installed, the print process is started by clicking on
to this button.
Start symbol
The measuring process is started by clicking on to this symbol with the mouse.

Program "dso220u" oder
Position EXT.
If you select this switch position, the signals which are fed into the EXT-TRIG-IN jack
are used as the trigger signal.
Key data EXT Trigger input DC-5 MHz (DSO-220) or DC-30 MHz
(DSO-2100), min. 600 mVeff (DSO-220), min. 400mVeff (DSO-2100)!
b) Pre-trig
The pre-run for the trigger can be set here with a mouse click (0% / 25% / 50% /
75%)
C) Slope
The trigger start point can be selected here with a mouse click.
"+" (positive) means starting point at the rising flank of the measuring signal.
"-" (negative) means starting point at the descending flank.
Vertical diversion (4) with the setting menus:
Display mode, coupling, vertical diversion (V/DIV)
a) Display mode
CH1
Only channel 1 is displayed.
CH2
Only channel 2 is displayed.
CH1 and CH2
Dual-channel display (dual mode).
ADD
CH1 and CH2 are displayed as being added.
X-Y
X-Y means that channel 1 functions as X input, channel
2 as Y input. The makes the display of the so-called Lissajou
figures possible.
b) "Switch" / fields for the type of coupling
for the input signal to the vertical amplifier from channel 1 CH1 or channel 2 CH2.
In position DC, direct coupling of the measuring signal to the signal amplifier input
takes place. DC is always necessary for measuring signals with a frequency of 30 Hz
or less.
In the position AC, a capacitor is switched between the input of the amplifier and the
connection jack which "blocks off" the direct voltage share of the measuring signal.
In the position GND, the amplifier input is relayed to earth.
