• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put
under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme
heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A
damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• To prevent risks, damaged power cables may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a
professional workshop appointed by the manufacturer, or a similarly qualified person.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
Should you have questions concerning correct product connection or operation, or should other questions
arise that this user manual does not address, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support or a
third-party professional.
UNPACKING
Check all parts for completeness and any damage after unpacking the product.
For safety reasons, damaged parts may not be used. Contact our customer service if any
parts are damaged.
SETTING UP THE DEVICE
• Use the handle and device feet to set up the device so that it can be conveniently operated and read.
• Protect the device from extended exposure to direct sunlight, as such could damage the monitor.
In order to adhere to the tolerance values stipulated under Specifications, the device must have
been operated within the specified operating temperature range for approx. 30 minutes.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the device. Ventilation slots must not be covered or closed.

OPERATION

• Attach the mains cable provided to the power input on the rear of the device and connect the isolated
ground receptacle to an earthed wall socket.
• Turn on the device using the power button.
• The device will show the starting screen and be ready for use after a short initiation period.
• Connect the corresponding measuring leads/ probe heads to the measuring inputs "CH1" to "CH4".
The measuring signal must only be applied to the internal lead. The external lead
(reference mass) is connected to ground potential (protective ground).
• Touch the test object with the measuring leads.
• Press the "Autoset" button for automatic signal settings. This function automatically and perfectly adjusts
all parameters for displaying signals.
• Disconnect the measuring leads from the test object and switch off the appliance after measuring has
been completed.
INSTALLING THE MEASURING SOFTWARE
1. Before connecting the oscilloscope to a computer, install the measuring software first.
2. Switch on your computer and start the operating system.
3. Insert the software CD provided into the CD drive and close it. The auto-start feature will automatically
start the installation of the software. If not, manually run the "setup.exe" file on the inserted CD-ROM.
The installation of the software will then start.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. A new folder will be created in the file manager of the start menu.
REMOTE CONTROL
The product can be controlled by the following technologies: USB and Ethernet.
Read and observe the steps as described in the corresponding chapters of the operating instructions.
USB:
Chapter "Remote control" > "Configure USB Interface"
Ethernet: Chapter "Remote control" > "Configure the Ethernet Interface"
The software CD contains the relevant drivers.
USB HOST
• Refer to chapter "File Utilities" in the operating instructions.
• Connect a USB memory stick to the "USB host" on the bottom of the monitor for storing data.
• After storing data, wait for at least 10 seconds before disconnecting the USB stick from the appliance,
in order to complete the saving procedure. Otherwise you might not be able to find any data on the USB
stick.
CLEANING
Read and observe the following safety instructions before cleaning the device:
Opening any covers on the product or removing parts – unless this is possible by
hand – may expose voltage-carrying components.
Disconnect all cables from the device and turn off the device before cleaning or
maintenance.
• Do not use any abrasive, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzine, alcohol or the like
for cleaning. Such would damage the surface of the product. Moreover, the fumes are harmful and
explosive. Do not use sharp-edged screwdrivers, metal brushes or similar for cleaning.
• Do not apply too much pressure to the display; that does not only cause scratching but could also
destroy the display. Loss of warranty!
• Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly damp cleaning cloth to clean the device, the display and the
test leads.
DISPOSAL
