8. Battery installation

Observe correct polarity while inserting the
batteries. Remove the batteries if the device is not
used for a long period of time to avoid damage
through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries
might cause acid burns when contact with skin,
therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle
corrupted batteries.
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not
leave the battery lying around, as there is risk,
which children or pets could swallow it.
Replace all the batteries at the same time. Mixing
old and new batteries in the device can lead to
battery leakage and device damage.
Make sure that batteries are not dismantled,
short-circuited or thrown into fi re. Never recharge
non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of
explosion!
Replace the battery when the low battery icon,
display.
1. Separate the tester from the measuring point and turn it off.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover out at the bottom of the
tester.
3. Insert two LR44 button cells in the battery compartment (6) while
observing the correct polarity ("+" = positive"). The positive pole
of the button cells should face outward.
4. Close the battery compartment (6).

9. Operation

Separate the tester from the measuring circuit
before switching the measuring function.
Disconnect circuit from its voltage source and
discharge all capacitors before conducting
measurement.
Do not touch the cathode or anode tips during
operation.
1. Press "FUNC." button (4) to switch on the tester.
2. Press "FUNC." button (4) to select among the three available
functions, resistance, capacitance and diode measurement.
Each press of the button switches the next measurement
function further.
3. Press and hold the "FUNC." button (4) for 4 seconds to switch
off the tester.
4. Press "REL" button (3) to activate/ deactivate the relative
measuring mode. "REL" symbol appears on the display to
indicate the function is activated.
5. The tester will be switched off automatically after 15 minutes
of being idle.
