8.1.5 Shutdown

o Maintain a safe distance from escaping media.
o Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves, goggles).
The COSMO Type CP-HY high-efficiency pump must be taken out of service as instructed
in the operating manual. All electrical cables must be disconnected and removed before
shutdown. Close the shut-off valves above and below the pump, loosen the pump's
upper and lower couplings, and remove the pump from the pipework.

8.1.6 Disposal

This product must be disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner
in accordance with national regulations – local, public or private disposal
facilities must be used.
8.2
The plant's owner/operator must be instructed by the responsible installation
technician about the working principle and operation of the COSMO Type CP-HY high
efficiency pump.

9. MAINTENANCE

o Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves, goggles).
Before starting any trouble-shooting or maintenance work on the pump, the pump must
be disconnected from the power supply (remove the plug from the power socket or turn
off the existing control), and the installation and operating manual consulted.
Basically, the COSMO Type CP-HY high-efficiency pump requires no maintenance.
Possible Cause:
An open overflow valve installed in the system prevents
regulation
Remedy:
If possible, remove or close the overflow valve.
