backrest of the child car seat and the backrest of the vehicle's seat. Some car headrests are
an obstacle when installing the child car seat and, therefore, need to first be removed.
• The buckle of the adult seat belt may not be too close to the bottom of the child car seat's
armrest. If you have any doubts about this, contact the child car seat's manufacturer
(figure D).
• Please set a good example for your child by always fastening your seat belt. An adult who
is not secured using a seat belt may also pose a risk to the child.
• Before every car trip, make sure that the child car seat is properly secured.
• The child car seat should also be secured when not in use. An unsecured child car seat may,
even during sudden braking, cause bodily injury to passengers.
4. Assembly of the child car seat
• Place the child car seat flat on the surface directly in front of the backrest (figure E1).
• Place the "U"-shaped parts of the backrest on the installation tabs on the seat pad
(figure E2).
• Lift the backrest to the vertical position while at the same time holding the seat pad
(figure E3).

4.1. Using an insert

The child insert (figure A, item 15) improves comfort and provides additional support
for young children. We recommend using both the lower part and upper part, which acts as a
cushion for the child's head, until the child needs more room in the child car seat. At this
stage, remove the inserts.
CAUTION! To ensure your child remains safe, use only the original Kinderkraft Comfort UP
insert. This insert is designed only for use with the Comfort UP child car seat.
CAUTION! The child car seat insert is to be used for young children.
5. Height adjustment of the shoulder harness (I weight group 9 kg – 18 kg)
Check to make sure that the height of the shoulder harness is suitable for your child.
The shoulder harness should pass through the slots, which are located at or slightly below
shoulder height (figure F). There are two available options for the level of safety harness
adjustment.
If the shoulder harness is not at the right height, adjust it by following the steps below.
• Step 1. Pressing the button on the safety harness buckle (figure A, item 6), pull the safety
harness straps towards you to loosen them (figure G1). Remember! Do not pull on the
shoulder pads.
• Step 2. Turn the child car seat so its back is facing towards you and slide both straps from
the safety harness strap clasp and disconnect the clasp of the shoulder pads (figure G2).
• Step 3. Carefully pull out all the straps through the slots in the back of the child car seat.
• Step 4. Thread the straps of the safety harness and of the shoulder pads through the slots
in the child car seat's backrest (figure A, item 3) at the correct height.
