• Step 5. Slide the safety harness straps into the safety harness strap clasp. Do this first for
the left strap, then for the right. Connect the shoulder pad straps in the clasp (figure G3).
CAUTION! Make sure that the strap is correctly positioned in the slots, and that it is not
twisted.
6.
Head restraint height adjustment
Use the lever on the head restraint (figure A, item 10) to adjust the height of the head
restraint.
Pull the lever towards you to unlock it (figure H1).
To raise the head restraint, turn the unlocked lever counter clockwise.
To lower the head restraint, turn the unlocked lever clockwise. (figure H2)
The head restraint can be positioned at eight levels.
After adjusting the head restraint, make sure that you lock the lever by pushing
it towards the child car seat's backrest until you hear a "click".
The head restraint should be correctly tailored to the child's head.
6.1 For the I weight group
The head restraint can be positioned in the lowest position, and when the child grows older,
it can be adjusted so that the shoulder strap guides (figure A, item 11) are positioned just
above the child's shoulders.
6.2 For the II and III weight groups
A correctly positioned head restraint ensures optimal distribution of the shoulder section of
the car's seat belt, and provides protection and comfort for the child.
CAUTION! The shoulder strap should pass between the child's shoulder and neck.
7.
Installation in a vehicle
Before commencing installation of the child car seat in the vehicle, always check to see if:
• The backrests of the car's seats are locked (i.e. the folding rear backrest lock is engaged).
• All heavy items or items with sharp edges are secured (e.g. on the rear parcel shelf).
CAUTION! In the event of sudden braking or an accident, persons who are not secured with
a seat belt may injure other passengers.
The child car seat should always be secured, even if it is not carrying a child.
7.1. Installation of the child car seat for the I weight group (9-18 kg)
• Adjust the height of the shoulder straps and the head restraint to the child's height (see
items 5 and 6).
• Place the child car seat on the car's seat, making sure that the car seat's headrest does not
prevent the child car seat from sitting snugly against the backrest of the car's seat
(figure I1). Pull out the vehicle's seat belt. Thread the shoulder strap through the seat belt
guide (figure A, item 11) behind the head restraint. Pull the waist belt through under the
armrest (the place is marked with a red arrow) (figure I2).
