Click In
• Put on both road bike shoes. Check that both shoes are closed securely and tightly. Sit carefully on the ergometer.
• Slide one foot from behind into a pedal that is further forward. With the front of the cleat connected to the pedal,
press down on the heel until the cleat is fully engaged. Repeat for the other foot.
Click Out
• Rotate the heel outward until the latch releases the shoe. Lift your foot off the pedal.
Step 3: Aligning the Cleats Lengthwise
• Carefully sit down on the ergometer with your shoes securely on.
Click the shoes with the cleats ('C') into the pedals ('P').
• Check that the marks ('M') on both shoes line up with the pedal
axles ('PA').
• If the position of the cleats ('C') in the longitudinal direction
is incorrect, loosen the screws slightly. Correct position and
retighten the screws.
Step 4: Adjusting the Rotation of the Cleats

• Do not walk with the cleats removed.
• Do not walk on sharp-edged surfaces. Avoid strong physical impact.
• Remove any rough dirt from the cleats with a brush.
• If necessary, clean shoes with a damp sponge. Avoid getting wet as this can cause the shoes to warp.
• Do not expose shoes to temperatures above 50°C (120°F). Do not use a hair dryer if you want to dry the shoes.

ADJUSTING THE CLEATS
• Take off your shoes and stand comfortably. Determine the natural position
of your feet: how far is each foot turned outwards or inwards?
• Slightly loosen the screws on the cleat, without removing them.
• Turn the cleat on the sole of the shoe in the opposite direction until it
corresponds to your foot position. Example: If your right foot axis ('FA')
points outwards 10°, turn the plate on the right shoe inwards 10°: The
angle between screw axis ('SA') and pedal axis ('PA') should equal the
PA
angle between ('FA') and pedal axle.
• Carefully sit on the ergometer with your shoes securely on.
SA
• Check that the rotation of the cleats is well adjusted: are both feet in their
natural position on the ergometer?
• If necessary, correct the position and/or rotation of the cleats.
• Finally, tighten the screws firmly.
