5.2 Warranty

In private use, FitNord electric bicycles have a 60 month frame warranty. The other
components have a 24-month warranty. The bicycle's battery has a 12-month warran-
ty. The warranty does not cover rental or other commercial use unless this has been
expressly accepted by the retailer. The extension of the warranty beyond the initial
250 kilometres of use is subject to the bicycle undergoing the relevant initial service
(see Section 5. 1 )
The warranty covers any quality, manufacturing and assembly faults as well as con-
sequential damage to the bicycle and the repair of such damage.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by the user or other individual resulting
from collisions, dropping or falling over, or any vandalism to the bicycle. The warranty
does not cover damage, which results from using the bicycle other than for its inten-
ded purpose, such as jumping, dropping or riding in water. Using the bicycle by a rider
who exceeds the maximum user weight (120 kg incl. rider and any luggage) and any
resulting damage is not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover any replacement needs caused as a result of wear follo-
wing the normal use of the bicycle's consumables (e.g. tyres, sprockets, chains, brake
discs, brake pads). Contact your local FitNord repair shop in connection with the
replacement of consumables.
