Do not connect the positive and negative pole of the battery to each other.
Keep the battery out of reach of children and pets.
Only use the battery and charger for their intended purpose as part of the
electric bicycle.
Do not cover the battery and charger, and do not place any items on them or
against them.
Do not expose the battery and charger to any impacts (e.g. dropping).
Stop charging the battery immediately if you observe any abnormal operation.
It is extremely unlikely for the battery to ignite, but if this does happen follow
these steps:
- Unplug the charger if safely possible
- Use a large amount of thrown water (thrown from a bucket e.g.) to extin-
guish the fire. The water cools the battery making it less likely that the fire
spreads into other cells.
- Call emergency services and stay away from the space the fire was in to
avoid possible fumes and smoke.
Do not open the protective housing of the battery. Opening the protective hou-
sing by yourself will void the warranty of the battery.
Avoid touching the battery and charger while charging because the charger
heats up significantly.
Store the battery in a warm and dry place when it is not in use. Keep the battery
at 30-80% capacity when stored

2.3 Inspections before use

The operating principle of an electrically powered assisted cycle is based on a tradi-
tional bicycle. When making a purchase decision, choose a bicycle type that meets
the desired purpose and terrain.
Always check the condition and operation of the bicycle before riding it. If you
observe any shortcomings in the bicycle operation, carry out the necessary ad-
justments or contact maintenance.
Check the following points before riding the bicycle:
Operation of the electric system, motor and lights.
Operation of the brakes. The brake lever must not press down against the
handlebar.
Tension of the handlebar's fastening screws and the smooth turning of the
handlebar.
Tension of the saddle. Attachment of the pedals and crank arms.
