Ensure that any goods or their straps etc. that are transported on the luggage
carrier do not end up between the mechanical parts or wheels of the bicycle.
Do not cover the bicycle's lights or reflectors; The fixing of the lights and
reflectors must be inspected at regular intervals, and they must be tightened, if
necessary.
Always ensure the secure fastening of child seats and ensure that any saddle or
other springs have been covered so that the child does not get caught on them.
In case of emergency braking, do not only use the front brakes because this
can lead to the rider's kinetic energy continuing over the front wheel. Aim to
brake using both brakes.
The fastening and condition of the front fork, brakes, wheels and handlebar
should be inspected regularly.
The bicycle includes wearing components, such as the tyres, brake pads, chains
and sprockets. The wear of these components should be monitored.
It is important to replace wearing components at suitable intervals, e.g. in
connection with annual services, so that the operation of the bicycle can be
ensured. Wear, operating problems, chips and scratches indicate that the part is
nearing the end of its service life.
Collisions and other accidents may cause visible and internal damage to the
bicycle. After such an event, the bicycle should be thoroughly inspected before
continuing its use.

2.5 Classification of your bicycle and the bicycle structure

The European Union classifies electric bicycles and electrically power-assisted bicy-
cles in separate categories. Your bicycle is an electrically power-assisted bicycle,
and it is subject to the following restrictions:
The continued power of the motor must not exceed the limit of 250W.
The motor must switch off after the bicycle reaches a speed of 25 kilometres
per hour.
The motor must only assist the bicycle in connection with pedalling.
In traffic, an electrically power-assisted bicycle is classed as a regular bicycle,
and it is subject to the same laws and regulations. Therefore, use the same lane
as with an ordinary bicycle and observe the traffic rules.
NOTE
Any alterations to the bicycle that deviate from these restrictions cause
the warranty to be immediately voided, and the bicycle will be in violation
of the traffic code.
