2.4 Safety information about your bicycle

The recommended maximum weight of the rider is 120 kg, including any
luggage. Observing this restriction is recommended in order to ensure the
lifetime and safety of the bicycle.
The warranty shall not cover accidents and damage incidents in which the
combined weight of the rider and luggage exceeds 120 kg. Using the bicycle
with a load of more than 120 kg takes place at the rider's own responsibility.
Riding the electrically power-assisted bicycle in puddles and deep water
should be avoided. The display and other electrical components are splash
and moisture resistant, but complete submersion in water may exceed their
protection level.
All bypasses and alterations of the speed and power limitations of the motor
and electrical system are prohibited. Changing these factory-set values will
void the warranty.
Disassembling and opening the battery is prohibited. A technician approved by
FitNord must always carry out the servicing and replacement of the electrical
system. The bicycle's electrical system must be switched off for the duration of
cleaning, servicing and adjustments. The battery must also be removed for the
duration of these measures.
Please observe the manufacturer's safety instructions concerning the use of
the battery and the charger. (See Section 2.2)
Only use spare parts that are used and approved by the manufacturer. The use
of parts other than those approved by the manufacturer shall void the warranty.
Ensure the correct air pressure of the tyres. This affects the handling of the
bicycle, the battery life, and the durability of the components.
Do not exceed the maximum weight indicated on the luggage carrier. Instal-
ling a child seat on the luggage carrier is not recommended, and this takes
place under the user's own responsibility.
