• Fill a maximum of 2 litres of tap water into the
boiler.
The boiler can be filled up to 2 cm below the
edge of the filler neck.
You can cut down the heating-up time by using
warm water.
• Screw the safety lock (A3) back onto the
appliance.
Turning on the Appliance
• Uncoil the power cord (A7) completely from
the power cord holder.
If the appliance is in operation, the power cord
must always be uncoiled completely. If the
appliance is turned off by the excess tempera-
ture protection, let the appliance cool down
before turning it on again.
• Connect the mains plug to a wall socket.
Do not turn on the appliance if there is no water
in the boiler. Otherwise, the appliance may
overheat. For reasons of safety, the appliance
automatically turns off the heating and the red
low-water indicator lamp (B6) lights up. Turn the
appliance off and fill the boiler with water to ensure
it is ready to work again (see "Refilling Water").
• Turn the appliance on using the switch (A5).
The heating indicator lamp (B4) must light up.
The full heating performance is only available if
the modular accessory plug (C7) is connected to
the appliance during the heating-up period.
• Wait until the indicator lamp (B5) lights up.
Now, the steam cleaner is ready to work.
• Please make sure that the lock (C4) on the
steam gun has been released.
If you push the lock (C4) backwards, the steam
switch (C5) cannot be actuated (child-proof lock).
If you push the lock forwards, the steam switch
can be actuated.
