Inserting batteries in the display / control unit

WARNING!
Risk of explosion or fire!
Incorrect installation of batteries can lead to a short circuit or
overload, causing a rapid battery temperature increase. Battery
overheating may lead to gas or battery fluid leakage or explosion,
which, in turn, may result in injury.
– Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
In addition to running the scale on mains power using a AC adapter, the scale can also be
operated with batteries. If you would like to operate the scale with batteries, you must
unplug the AC adapter from the scale.

1. If you want to operate the scale with a AC adapt-

er instead of batteries, plug the AC adapter into
the display / control unit
(see Fig. 1).
2. Plug the AC adapter into a properly installed
socket.
