4. Programming of the time in the portable display

For clock time adjustment please take the portable display and utilise the buttons:
SET (save button),
(minus button),

1. After the insertion of the supplied batteries the display indicates all characters and
then the time 12:00.
2. Press the SET-button for 3 seconds. The hourly announcement in the display
catches in to flash. Now choose with the  or ‚ button the desired hourly setting
(0 to 23) and then press the SET-button to save the reading. Then the minute
announcement catches in to flash. Choose now with the  or ‚ button the
desired minute setting and confirm this with the SET-button.
5. Programming / Input of personal data
Before the first-time use your personal data like gender (man, woman, man sportily or
woman sportily), age and body height under the storage spaces P0 – P9 (for up to 10
people) must be given and be stored. To enter your personal data please take the
portable display and utilise the buttons: SET (on- / and save button),

(plus button) and follow the particular points:
1. Press briefly the SET-button. In the announcement flashes "P0". To choose the
desired storage space (P0 – P9), press the  or ‚ button and then press the
SET-button to save the reading.
2. After you selected your personal location (e.g. storage space P3), the symbol for
gender starts to flash. To select the requested gender (
sportily
or woman sportily
), press the  or ‚ button. After the selection of
your gender press the SET-button to save the reading.
3. After you selected your gender (e.g.

your age press the SET-button to save the reading.
4. After you selected your age, the symbol for body height starts to flash (default
165 cm). To enter your body height press the  or ‚ button. After the selection of
your body height press the SET-button to save the reading.
After you have finished the input in the display appear "----" and afterwards "Err I". Now
the values given by you are stored and in the display appear again the time.
IMPORTANTLY!
Plea se, note tha t with the use of the sca les a direct conn ection exists between the
portable display an d the scales. No obstacles may be between sca les an d
operating device. The scales work by mean s of infrared connec tion an d have a
limited reac h between sca les an d operating device.

6. Weighing function (only weight measurement)

1. Switch on the scales by using the step-on-function. Just step on the scales. Remain
stationary on the weighing platform and do not hold you tight.
2. After the scales have stabilised your weight is indicated successively three times
and then for approx. 10 seconds solidly. Afterwards the time announcement
appears again.

7. Body Analysis

An analysis is only possible in bare feet. Your personal data must be entered before
(please see page 4 - 5).
1. Choose on the display your personal storage space by pressure of the SET-button.
As soon as "----" appears in the display, the infrared announcement searches the
signal to the scales. Please pay absolutely attention to the fact that nothing is
between the red LED display of the scales and the indicating instrument; otherwise
the display will indicate "Err 1".
2. While "----" is indicated in the display, position yourselves carefully barefoot right
and left on the stainless-steel measuring units of the scales and remain stationary.
3. First your weight is indicated. Afterwards, while the body analysis is carried out, runs
in the display the signal "o". Furthermore remain stationary. After completion of the
measurement your measured values are indicated on the display as follows:
Consistently your body weight in kg
1. Your body fat portion in % (FAT)***
2. Your body water in % (TBW)
3. Your muscle mass in % (MUS)
4. Your osseous mass in kg (BONE)
*** During the announcement of the body fat portion below in the display appears an
assessment:
= Fat portion too low
= Fat portion in the healthy area
= Fat portion raises
= Fat portion too high
The measured values are still indicated 2-times successively, and then appears in the
display again the time announcement.
The body fat content is shown as the amount of stored fat as a percentage of total body
weight. There is no generally accepted set value as this varies significantly according to
gender (due to the different build) and age. Body fat is vital for basic body functions. It's
protecting organs, cushioning joints, regulating body temperature, storing vitamins and
