– If you would like to operate the scale using a AC adapter, the scale will
remain switched on at all times.
– The scale will automatically switch off if it is not used for 90 seconds
and there has been no change in weight.
– The scale will automatically switch off if it is overloaded for 5 seconds.
– If "Lo" is shown on the display, the scale will automatically switch off.
The batteries are depleted.

Selecting the weighing unit

1. Press the "On/Off/Tare" button

2. To select the desired weighing unit, press the "UNIT" button

The weighing units are displayed in this order: lb→oz→lb:oz→kg
The last selected weighing unit will be saved. The weighing unit selected will be
cleared if the AC adapter or batteries are removed.

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the scale may result in damage to the scale.
– Do not overload the scale. Do not exceed the maximum weigh-
ing capacity.
– When the scale is overloaded, the error message "Err" is dis-
played. In this case, remove the load from the weighing plat-
form.

Carefully put the item to be weighed in the centre of the weighing platform.
Never exceed the maximum weighing capacity of the scale (see chapter
"Technical data" on page 52).
The scale must not be used for dynamic weighing. Adding or removing
small quantities slowly (e.g. when filling a container with liquids) can yield
incorrect measurement results.
