Changing the batteries
WARNING!
Risk of explosion or fire!
Incorrect installation of batteries can lead to a short circuit or
overload, causing a rapid battery temperature increase. Battery
overheating may lead to gas or battery fluid leakage or explosion,
which, in turn, may result in injury.
– Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
The scale can get damaged due to overload.
– Do not place too heavy items on the scale.
To change the batteries, refer to the illustrations in the chapter "Inserting the batteries in
the display / control unit".
1. Pull the AC adapter out of the socket.
2. Open the battery compartment. To do this, slide open the battery compartment
cover 11 in the direction of the arrow.
3. Remove the depleted batteries.
4. Insert new batteries in the battery compartment.
5. Close the battery compartment. To do this, put the battery compartment cover on
the battery compartment and slide shut the battery compartment cover in the direc-
tion of the arrow until it clicks into place.
