3 Preparation
3.1 Changing the mains plug adapter
The appliance is supplied with a mains plug adapter 13. Other mains plug adapt-
ers can be ordered from the customer service centre (see service address on the
back of these user instructions).
WARNING!
Use only the original mains plug adapters 13.
Pull the power supply unit 15 out of the power socket before you
change the mains plug adapter 13.

Ensure that the power supply unit 15 cannot be plugged in again during
cleaning.
NOTE: ensure that you do not bend the small pins on the power supply unit 15.
1. Hold down the release key 12 while pulling off the
mounted mains plug adapter 13.
2. Insert the required mains plug adapter 13 into the
power supply unit 15. Ensure that the release
key 12 is located at the top and audibly clicks into
place.
3.2 Setting up charging station and accessory holder
• Figure A: insert the accessory holder 7 sideways into the brackets below the
charging station 8 (as shown). The accessory holder allows you to keep the
comb attachments 6, the oil bottle 5 and the cleaning brush 4 to hand at all
times.
• Place the charging station on a level, non-slip surface.
• Lay the connecting cable 14 such that nobody can trip over it.
• Keep the connecting cable 14 away from hot surfaces.
