(1) Adjusting dial
for changing parameters. If the indicator on the adjusting dial is lit up,
then the selected parameter is one that can be altered.
(2) Parameter selection button
for selecting the following parameters
- Welding current
- Arc-force dynamic
If the indicator is lit up on the parameter selection button and on the ad-
justing dial, then the indicated / selected parameter can be altered using
the adjusting dial.
The parameters can be set separately for all welding processes that can
be selected using the Process button (3). The parameter settings are
stored until the respective set value is changed.
(3) Process button(s)
For selecting the welding process
- MMA welding
- MMA welding with Cel electrode
- Special processes
- TIG welding with touchdown ignition
(4) Welding current parameter
For selecting the welding current
Before the start of welding, the machine automatically displays a standard
value based on the programmed parameters. During welding, the actual
value is displayed.
(5) Welding voltage parameter
The open circuit voltage is displayed before welding starts. During wel-
ding, the actual value is displayed.
The power source has a pulsating open circuit voltage. Before welding
starts (open circuit), the display shows an average welding voltage of ap-
prox. 60 V.
However, a maximum welding voltage of 95 V is available at the start of
welding and during the welding process. Optimum ignition properties are
ensured.
(6) Arc-force dynamic parameter
For influencing the short-circuiting amperage at the instant of droplet
transfer
0 soft, low-spatter arc
100 harder, more stable arc
If TIG welding is selected, the arc-force dynamic parameter cannot be
selected.
(7) Setup / Store button
For accessing the Setup menu
If you press the Setup / Store button (7) and the Parameter selection but-
ton (2) at the same time, the software version is shown on the displays. To
exit, press the Setup / Store button (7).
(8) Mains switch
For switching the power source on and off
