CLEAR A BLOCKING
If the worm housing is blocked no mince comes out of the mincer while operating or the
motor stops moving automatically because of the overload protection.
ATTENTION:
If a blocking occurs turn off the appliance immediately. Clear the pro-
blem before turning on the motor again.
1. Turn the appliance off and take the pusher out of the feed chute.
2. If the motor stopped running because of overloading, turn the appliance off and wait
few minutes to allow the motor to cool down.
3. Turn the control switch to reverse and let the motor run in reverse mode for a few
seconds. The worm will turn backwards and loosen the blockage. The appliance
will only run in reverse mode as long as you hold on to the control switch.
ATTENTION:
If the motor does not start moving backwards immediately turn off the
appliance and pull the plug. Disassemble and clean the appliance.
4. After a few seconds in reverse mode turn the appliance off and wait a few seconds
for the motor to stop running completely. Turn the control switch to ON. If the appli-
ance still does not run smooth or the blockage occurs again, turn the appliance off
(by turning the control switch to STANDBY), pull the plug and clean the appliance
according to the instructions in chapter ›Care and Cleaning‹.
