Anwendung
Der C-MAC
GUIDE 8401 DS ist ein Führungsstab aus
®
Edelstahl mit atraumatischer Spitze. Der distale Bereich
ist an die Spatelform des C-MAC
Videolaryngoskops
®
D-BLADE 8401 HX angepasst.
Durch einen integrierten Tubushalter 2 ist die Fixierung
eines Endotrachealtubus möglich (Abb. 1).

WARNUNG: Verletzungsgefahr. Bei der
Verwendung kleinerer Endotrachealtuben stets
darauf achten, dass die distale Spitze des
C-MAC
GUIDE nicht aus dem Tubus heraus-
®
ragt. Die distale Spitze des C-MAC
GUIDE
®
muss immer innerhalb des Tubus liegen.

WARNUNG: Verletzungsgefahr: Der C-MAC
GUIDE darf unter keinen Umständen in die
Glottis oder hinter die Stimmbänder geführt
werden. Darauf achten, dass die distale Spitze
immer innerhalb des Endotrachealtubus liegt.
Durch das Verschieben des Tubushalters können
verschiedene Tubengrößen an den C-MAC
GUIDE
®
angepasst werden, sodass die Spitze des Guide stets
vom Tubus bedeckt ist (Abb. 2 und 3).
Bei Verwendung größerer Endotrachealtuben ragt die
Spitze des Tubus deutlich über die Spitze des C-MAC
GUIDE hinaus. Dies hat keine Auswirkungen auf die
Funktion des Guide.
Das C-MAC
GUIDE kann mit dem Daumen (Abb. 4) oder
®
Zeigefinger (Abb. 5) aus dem Tubus entfernt werden.

Hindurchführen des Tubus durch die Glottis erfolgen.

Application
The C-MAC
GUIDE 8401 DS is a guide rod made of
®
stainless steel with an atraumatic tip. The distal area
is adapted to the blade shape of the C-MAC
laryngoscope D-BLADE 8401 HX.
An endotracheal tube can be fixed in place thanks to an
integrated tube holder 2 (Fig. 1).

WARNING: Risk of injury. When using smaller
endotracheal tubes always ensure that the
distal tip of the C-MAC
GUIDE does not
®
project out of the tube. The distal tip of the
C-MAC
GUIDE must always be inside the
®
tube.

WARNING: Risk of injury: The C-MAC
®
must never be guided into the glottis or behind
the vocal cords. Make sure that the distal tip is
always within the endotracheal tube.
By moving the tube holder, various tube sizes can be
adapted to the C-MAC
GUIDE so that the tip of the
®
Guide is always covered by the tube (Fig. 2 and 3).
When using larger endotracheal tubes, the tip of the
tube projects some way over the tip of the C-MAC
GUIDE. This does not affect the functioning of the
®
Guide.
The C-MAC
GUIDE can be removed from the tube using
®
the thumb (Fig. 4) or index finger (Fig. 5).
The C-MAC
GUIDE must be removed from the
®
endotracheal tube before guiding the tube through the
glottis.

Reprocessing

WARNING: Risk of infection: Incorrectly
reprocessed medical devices expose patients,
users and third parties to a risk of infection
as well as the risk that the medical device
may malfunction. Observe the manual
'Cleaning, Disinfection, Care and Sterilization
of KARL STORZ Instruments' and the
accompanying documentation.

WARNING: Risk of infection: Inspect medical
devices for visible contamination. Visible
contamination is an indication that reprocessing
has not been carried out, or has been carried
out incorrectly. Reprocess the medical devices
after every use using validated procedures.

Association and equivalent organizations

Aplicación

CUIDADO: Riesgo de lesiones. Al utilizar tubos
endotraqueales más pequeños preste siempre
atención a que la punta distal de la C-MAC
GUIDE no sobresalga del tubo. La punta distal
de la C-MAC
GUIDE debe quedar siempre en

el interior del tubo.

CUIDADO: Riesgo de lesiones: Bajo ningún
®
concepto ha de guiarse la C-MAC
en la glotis o detrás de las cuerdas vocales.
Preste atención a que la punta distal quede
siempre en el interior del tubo endotraqueal.
Desplazando el soporte para tubo pueden adaptarse
diferentes tamaños de tubo a la C-MAC
modo que la punta de la guía permanezca siempre
cubierta por el tubo (figs. 2 y 3).
En caso de utilizar tubos endotraqueales más grandes,
®
la punta del tubo sobresale claramente más allá de la
punta de la C-MAC
GUIDE. Esto no afecta en modo
®
alguno el funcionamiento de la guía.
La C-MAC
GUIDE puede ser retirada del tubo con el
®
pulgar (fig. 4) o con el dedo índice (fig. 5).
La extracción de la C-MAC
GUIDE del tubo

endotraqueal debe llevarse a cabo imprescindiblemente
antes de guiar el tubo a través de la glotis.

Preparación

CUIDADO: Riesgo de infección. La prepa-
ración incorrecta de los productos médicos
puede conllevar un riesgo de infección para
pacientes, usuarios y terceros, así como pro-
vocar fallos de funcionamiento en el producto
médico. Observe la Instrucción "Limpieza,
desinfección, conservación y esterilización de
los instrumentos de KARL STORZ", así como
la documentación adjunta al producto.

CUIDADO: Riesgo de infección: Compruebe si
existen impurezas visibles en los productos médi-
cos. Si hay impurezas visibles, cabe suponer que
la preparación o bien no se ha efectuado o se
ha realizado de forma inadecuada. Prepare los
productos médicos después de cada utilización
empleando para ello procedimientos validados.

CUIDADO: Al efectuar trabajos en productos
médicos contaminados, observe las directivas
de la mutua de previsión contra accidentes y
otras organizaciones equivalentes referidas a
la protección del personal.
