CYLINDER MOUNTING

SINGLE CYLINDER
Check that the cylinder strap buckle is positioned as close to the backplate as

possible. Place the cylinder on the backplate. [Fig. 1]
Connect the regulator unit and cylinder according to chapter 2.

Fasten cylinder strap around the cylinder and hook together with the buckle

[Fig. 3]. Adjust the length of the strap if needed. [Fig 4] Do not over tighten. If the
strap is over tightened the buckle and backplate will be damaged.
Close the lever on the buckle [Fig. 5]. Make sure that the locking tab has locked the

lever in the closed position. [Fig. 6] (To release the cylinder buckle the locking tab
must be pressed down.)
TWIN CYLINDERS WITH T-PIECE
For assembly, the "Twin cylinder kit" is used, which consists of a spacer block (for
certain cylinder sizes), a cylinder strap holder with a metal pin and a T-piece [Fig. 21].
Release the cylinder strap from the four hooks on the back plate [Fig. 22].

Extend the cylinder strap to the maximum [Fig. 4].

Install the cylinder strap holder by removing the metal pin and threading the

holder through the back plate with the metal buckle facing up. Fit the metal pin
into the loop of the holder on the inside of the back plate. Pull the strap upwards
until the metal pin snaps into the back plate [Fig. 23].
Thread the cylinder strap through the holder [Fig. 24].

If the rescue hose is mounted on the back plate: Remove the rescue hose from the

right hose bracket (by which the apparatus is carried) [Fig. 25].
Check that the sealing O-ring in the regulator is in place [Fig. 26].

Connect the T-piece to the regulator according to chapter 2.

Check that the two sealing O-rings are in place in the T-piece.

Assemble the first cylinder by threading it through one loop of the cylinder strap

and connecting it with the T-piece according to chapter 2.
Place the spacer block on the cylinder strap holder between the cylinders (for

some cylinder sizes). Make sure that the high pressure hose and breathing hose
are between the cylinders and that they are not pinched between the cylinders
and the back plate [Fig. 30].
Hook the cylinder strap with the buckle and close the lever on the buckle. Check

that the locking latch has locked the lever in the closed position [Fig. 3, 5, 6].
The assembly of twin cylinders are now completed [Fig. 31].

CYLINDER PACK
Mounting
Place the cylinder pack on a flat surface with the cylinder valve towards you.

Check that the sealing O-ring is in place. Connect the regulator unit to the cylinder

valve according to chapter 2.
