1. Service more frequently when used in dusty areas.
2. These items should be serviced by an authorized Honda servicing
dealer, unless you have the proper tools and are mechanically
proficient. Refer to the Honda shop manual for service procedures.
3. In Europe and other countries where machinery directive 2006/42/EC is
enforced, this cleaning should be done by your servicing dealer.
Failure to follow this maintenance schedule could result in
non-warrantable failures or reduction in performance and emissions
noncompliance.

Turn the fuel valve ON (page 9).

• Use the recoil starter for at least one
mowing session to allow the battery to
charge (page 8)
• Check for blown fuse (page 17)
Refuel (page 5).
Refuel with fresh petrol (page 5).
Gap or replace the spark plug (page 14).
Dry and reinstall the spark plug.
Take the mower to an authorized Honda
servicing dealer or refer to the shop
manual for repair.
Correction
Move the throttle to FAST (page 11).
Raise the cutting height (page 6), cut a
narrower swath, use a slower ground
speed (page 11), or cut more frequently.
Clean out the cutting-means enclosure
(page 12).
Clean or replace the air cleaner
(page 14).
Refuel with fresh petrol (page 5).
Take the mower to an authorized Honda
servicing dealer or refer to the shop
manual for repair.
Correction
Clean out the cutting-means enclosure
(page 12).
Tighten loose cutting-means bolts
(page 16).
If cutting means are found to be bent or
damaged, take the lawnmower to an
authorized Honda servicing dealer for
inspection.
Take the mower to an authorized Honda
servicing dealer or refer to the shop
manual for repair.
