Needle penetration in feeding direction

Caution: Risk of injury!
Turn off the main switch.
Check and set the needle penetration only when the machine is
switched off.
Standard checking
The needle 1 should penetrate the center of the feed dog's stitch hole
with the stitch length set to "0".
–
Set the stitch length to "0".
–
Insert a new needle.
–
Turn down the needle bar via the handwheel.
–
Check the position of the needle in the stitch hole.
Correction
–
Loosen the screw 3 at the upper transmission lever.
–
Adjust the position of the needle bar linkage 2 in a way that the
needle 1 stands in the center of the stitch hole.
–
Fasten screw 3 again.
