General operating instructions
Idle state
The appliance is in idle state when the door
is locked, the light in the cooking chamber is
not lit, and the display shows the current time.
If the time is not set (at initial start-up or when
the appliance has been disconnected from
the mains), the display will permanently show
0:00
(see "Setting the time" on page EN-20)
when in idle state.
Cooking chamber light
The cooking chamber light switches on auto-
matically when
– the appliance is in operation,
– the cooking chamber door (8) is open.
Opening the cooking
chamber door
When you open the cooking chamber door (8)
during operation, the appliance switches to
idle state.
After you close the cooking chamber door
again, the appliance will resume operation
only when you press the "Start/+30 Sec./Con-
firm" button (14).
Ventilator lag
After the cooking time has finished, the fan
will continue to run for a few minutes to cool
the appliance down. The duration depends
on how hot it is inside the appliance.
Clock
The integrated clock is used to display the
time.
The time is always shown in 24-hour format.
Setting the time
Do not allow more than 1 minute to
elapse between the following steps,
otherwise the setting process will
be interrupted.
1. Press the "Time/Timer" button (16) twice.
The display (11) shows the time as
and the "clock" indicator is shown. The
hour indicator will flash.
2. Turn the function selector (15) until the
current hour is reached.
3. Press the "Time/Timer" button (16) again
to confirm the setting.
The minute indicator will flash.
4. Turn the function selector (15) until the
current minute is reached.
5. Press the "Time/Timer" button (16) again
to confirm the setting.
To stop setting the time, press the
"Stop/Delete" button (13). The ap-
pliance will then switch back to idle
state.
