Operating modes
Timed defrosting (

You can determine the defrosting time for
your dishes.
WARNING
Health hazard!
The water that melts during defrosting
can contain harmful bacteria, especial-
ly with meat and poultry!
■ Avoid any physical contact.
■ Pour defrost water away. Do not use
it for any other purpose.
■ Thoroughly clean the crockery you
have used.
Preparation:
• Ideally, use food which has been frozen at
–18 °C in portions that are as thin as pos-
sible.
• Remove all packaging and weigh the dish.
The weight is required to ensure the cor-
rect settings.
• Place the food in an appropriately sized
container into which the defrost water can
run without overflowing.
• Do not cover the food.
Defrosting by weight
1. Place the dish or drink into the cooking
chamber and close the door so that it
clicks into place and locks.
2. Press the "Defrost by weight/time" but-
ton (12).

3. Turn the function selector (15) to enter
the weight of the dish (between 100 g and
2000 g, in steps of 100 g).

4. Press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" but-
ton (14).
The appliance starts. The ventilator starts.
The cooking chamber light will switch
on. The turntable (2) starts to turn. The
pre-programmed time appears for the
entered weight, which then counts down.
The indicators
"Defrost by weight" flash.
After half the cooking time has elapsed,
two short signal tones will sound, indicat-
ing that the food needs to be turned over.
5. Open the cooking chamber door (8).
6. Rotate the dish.
7. Pour away any defrost water as needed.
8. Close the cooking chamber door (8).
9. To resume the defrosting process, briefly
press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" but-
ton (14).
10. As soon as the cooking time has fin-
ished, a signal will sound 5 times and
the appliance switches off. The dis-
play (11) now shows the time again.
11. Open the cooking chamber door and
carefully remove the dish from the cook-
ing chamber.
