Dips

Classic dips are made from nuts and veg-
etables. They can also be made from nuts
and seeds mixed with various vegetables.
Get creative and invent your own varia-
tions. These recipes should help to inspire
you.
Pecan nut dip
• 1 1/2 cups of pecan nuts (raw)
• 1 red onion (not too big, chopped)
• 1 tsp of poultry spice mix
• 1/2 cup of diced courgette
• 1 Tbs of soy sauce
Puree until the desired consistency is
reached. For a more hearty paste, stir in
chopped red pepper, parsley and celery
(1/2 cup of each).

Pumpkin dip
• 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
• 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
• 60 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice
• 1/2 avocado (diced)
• 2 cherry tomatoes (halved)
• 1 clove of garlic (chopped)
• 1 Tbs of fresh ginger (chopped)
• 1 Tbs of curry powder
• sea salt or crystal salt to taste
Soak the sunflower and pumpkin seeds
for 30 minutes and then leave to drain.
Puree to the desired consistency. For a
slightly softer and more chunky paste, af-
ter blending dice the other half of the av-
ocado and stir in.
