Troubleshooting

Problem
The motor unit will
not run properly.
The product gets
louder and warm.
The unit is smok-
ing.
The unit has
switched itself off
and is warm.
Liquid leaks from
the blending con-
tainer.
(If this gets into the
motor unit the mo-
tor unit pressure
switch may stick.)

Possible reason
The liquid contents of the con-
tainer are too thick.
The rubber connection be-
tween the blending/grinding
attachments and motor unit
is subject to excessive friction
because the parts are not sit-
ting correctly.
The overheating stop function
has been activated because
the unit was in continuous op-
eration for too long.
The blending attachment is
not screwed onto the blend-
ing container firmly enough.
The large white rubber seal
on the blade attachments
does not sit properly or is po-
rous.
The blending/grinding attach-
ment has become cracked
and does not seal, for ex-
ample due to washing in the
dishwasher or through con-
tact with water which is too
hot.
Solution
Add water or other liquids and
shake the unit in a vertical po-
sition (see page 13). Free the
blocked blending/grinding
tachment from any blockages or
dirt (see page 14, point 6).
Always ensure that the connect-
ing parts of the blending/grinding
attachments slide correctly into
the motor unit.
Faulty parts must be replaced.
Contact your Personal Blender
Service Centre (see page 2).
Allow the unit to cool down for
at least 20 minutes before using
again.
Make sure that the contain-
er and the blending attachment
are screwed together as firmly as
possible.
Check that the rubber seal is cor-
rectly seated.
If it appears brittle or has cracks,
contact your Personal Blender
Service Centre (see page 2).
Contact your supplier or the Per-
sonal Blender Service Centre (see
page 2) and order a new blend-
ing/grinding attachment.
