Disassembling
! Turn twist cap 11 counterclockwise until it can be
removed.
! Hold unlocking button 10 pressed down.
! Pull out spacer 1 to the front.
Assembling
! Insert clamp 1 from the front through clamp 2 and,
with unlocking button 10 pressed down, push in
the clamp as far as it will go.
! Release unlocking button 10.
! Attach twist cap 11 and screw it on as far as it will
go.
! To position spacer 1 as required: Turn twist cap 11
accordingly.
Processing
Note
Observe all relevant national regulations and standards
with regard to processing.
Note
For patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), sus-
pected CJD or possible variants of CJD, observe the rel-
evant national regulations concerning the reprocessing
of the products.

Preparations
! Carry out non-fixating/NaCl-free pre-cleaning
immediately after use.
! Disassemble separable products, see Disassem-
bling.
! Reprocess the product immediately after use.
! If possible, put the product away in dry condition.
! Use suitable cleaning/disinfecting agents if the
product is put away in wet condition. Prior to
mechanical cleaning and disinfecting, rinse the
product thoroughly with running water.
! If necessary, clean the product through ultrasound
treatment, see Cleaning/Disinfecting.
Cleaning/Disinfecting
Damage to the product due to inap-
propriate cleaning/disinfecting agents
and/or excessive temperatures!
CAUTION
! Only use cleaning/disinfecting
agents that are approved for the
product, and follow the manu-
facturers' instructions.
! Do not exceed the maximum
allowable cleaning temperature
of 60 °C.
! Use cleaning/disinfecting agents that are suitable
for the product.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions with
regard to concentration, temperature and exposure
time.
! Avoid encrustation of residues/proteins (e.g.
caused by aldehyde/alcohol).
! Only use bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal dis-
infecting agents.
