Using the built-in devices

This section describes how to get quick access to integrated device setup, including RF module power
on/off, barcode reader setup, and RFID reader setup.

Using the WLAN function (Wi-Fi)

Using the WLAN function (Wi-Fi)
To use the WLAN (Wi-Fi) function to connect to the network, do the following:
1.
Launch the HotTab utility
2.
Tap the Device ON/OFF button.
3.
Check the status color of the
Orange: Wi-Fi is on.
White: Wi-Fi is turned off.
4.
If Wi-Fi is disabled (white), tap the Wi-Fi icon to enable it (orange).
5.
In the Windows notification area, tap the wireless network connection status icon. A list of available
wireless networks is displayed.
6.
Double-tap a network to connect to it. Provide the required authentication information, if needed.
7.
To check the connection status, observe the wireless network connection status icon in the
Windows notification area. The more bars the icon displays, the better the WLAN connection
strength.
8.
Now the WLAN connection is established. Test the connection to the network using an Internet
browser such as Internet Explorer.

Using the wireless Internet

If your Rocktab U200 is equipped with a WWAN card (4G LTE), you can use the wireless WAN function.
