ATTENTION!
The device and the packaging material are not
children's toys! Do not let children play with
plastic bags, films or small parts! There is a dan-
ger of choking or suffocating!

7. Commissioning

Main switch and speed control (fig. 1+2)
This device is equipped with a locking mechanism for
the on switch so that the device remains on after it
has been switched on.
• Switching the device on using the "On" button:
Actuate the main switch (6) to start the power tool.
• Leaving the device switched on using the "On"
button: For continuous operation, actuate the lock-
ing mechanism for the on switch (2) so that the de-
vice continues to operate.
• Switching the device off using the "Off" button:
To switch the device off, only briefly press the main
switch (6) and release it immediately.
• Adjusting the speed: You can regulate the speed of
the sanding plate by adjusting the speed control (1).
Applying and replacing the sanding paper (fig. 3+4)
Note: Before applying or removing the sanding pa-
per, make sure to switch off the device and discon-
nect it from the power supply.
• To replace the sanding paper (9), place the device
on the floor. Take the sanding paper (9) and secure
it on the sanding plate (8). The sanding paper (9)
automatically connects to the sanding plate (8).
Make sure that the holes of the sanding plate (8)
align with the holes of the sanding paper (9).
Connection set for the dust extractor
The connection piece for the dust extractor is used
to connect the device with the fabric bag. This mini-
mises the level of dust for the operator.
Connecting the device to the extraction hose
(fig. 5.1, 5.2, 5.3)
• Plug the connection adapter (16) on the dust ex-
traction connector (7) of the machine and turn it to
lock it.
• Insert the extraction hose (10) into the connection
adapter (16).
Connecting the dust bag to the extraction hose
(fig. 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4)
• Installation instructions: Insert the hose (10) into
the connection piece of the dust bag (11). Make
sure that the spigot locks into place in the connec-
tion piece of the dust bag to securely connect the
hose (10) with the dust bag (11). (fig. 6.1, 6.2)
• Removal: Press the locked connection piece of the
hose (10) together using a screwdriver and remove
the hose (10). (fig. 6.3, 6.4)

Adjusting the extraction power (fig. 7)
• Turn the extraction adjustment control until the de-
sired extraction power is achieved.

8. Electrical connection

The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains connection as well as the ex-
tension cable used must also comply with these regu-
lations.
Damaged electrical connection cables
The insulation on electrical connection cables is of-
ten damaged.
Causes are:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been im-
properly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the
wall outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must
not be used and are life-threatening due to insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage. Electrical connection cables must comply
with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only
use connection cables with the marking "H 07 RN".
The printing of the type designations on the connec-
tion cable is mandatory.
AC motor
• The mains voltage must be 230 volts~ / 50 Hz.
• Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a
cross section of 1.5 mm
, and over 25 m long must

have a cross section of 2.5 mm
• The mains connection is protected with a 16 A
slow-blow fuse.
Connections and repair work on the electrical
equipment may only be carried out by electri-
cians.
Please provide the following information in the event
of any enquiries.
• Type of current for the motor
• Machine data - type plate
When returning the motor always send in the com-
plete drive unit with switches.
