3. Finalizing of engine assembly

For technical-transport-reasons some items are included loose in the shipment and have to be
fitted as follows after receipt of engine.
Mount upper part of engine mounts with 4 x M8 screws (strength category min.
10.9) to the crank case.
Note: The engine mount is chassy specified and therefore not content of the delivere by
Rotax
Note: Hand screw the 4 x M8 screws of the upper engine mount only, tightening to the full
specification will be done later, see section 6
Attention: For assembling the engine mounts follow the instruction of the chassis
manufacturer.

4. Verification or replenishing of oil level in gear compartment

The gear compartment is already filled with the appropriate amount of oil 150 CC (0,039 gal.) by
the engine manufacturer. However before the engine is installed in the frame, the oil level must be
verified or replenished.
Place engine on a horizontal surface.
Attention: When placing the engine on a horizontal surface, take care not to damage the pick
up for the ignition which is mounted on the bottom of the crank case.
Oil level can be checked on inspection glass (1). Oil level should reach
approximately to the middle of the inspection glass. (See Fig.1)
