In the course of the operation, hold the
machine always with both hands, and stand in
a safe position.
Do not leave any keys nor the drift (7) inserted
in the machine.
Caution with the reacting moment of the
drilling machine, in particular if the drill is
jammed (pulled in).
Before any work on the machine, pull the plug
out of the socket.
The machine must not be operated by
persons below the age of 16 years.
When drilling with the impact activated use
hearing protection. Exposure to the effects
of noise may cause hearing loss.
Use the additional handle (additional
handles) if it is (they are) supplied with the
tool. Loss of control may cause injure people.
When carrying out an activity where the
machining tool could touch hidden power
conductors or its own power cord, hold
the electromechanical tool by the insulated
surfaces. Touching the machining tool with
a "live" electrical conductor may cause the
exposed metal parts of the electromechanical
tool to become "live" and lead to injury of the
user by electric shock.
Protection of the Machine
Unproper handling of the machine can cause
damage. Therefore, observe always the following
instructions:
Sharp drills enhance the drilling effect and
save the machine.
Do not load the machine so much that it
should stop working.
The gear case is provided with a safety clutch
serving for the protection against getting
blocked.
Operating Instructions
When drilling a metal it is suitable to fasten the
drilling machine into the drilling stand.
If drilling without a stand, employ always the
enclosed additional handle (4), screwing it to the
drilling machine tightly.
Never hold the worked (drilled) pieces in your
hand. For the clamping of small or round objects,
use a mechanical vice.
Mounting /Exchange of the Drill
Mounting: Insert the drill into the clamping
mechanism of the machine (1) as much as
possible. When introducing the drill into the
clamping mechanism (1), never use force!
The Morse cone must be cleaned perfectly,
removing grease and dirt.
Exchange: Introduce the drift (7) into the
orifice (2). If the drift does not pass through
the driving shaft at the first try, turn the drill
slightly.
Chuck with Gear Wheel
The drills with cylindrical shanks can be
employed if using a chuck with a gear wheel. In
that case, the tapered mandrel (9) is to be used,
too.
Screw the chuck with the gear wheel (8) upon
the tapered mandrel a press them into the
clamping mechanism together.
Bringing the Machine into
Operation
Before performing any work on the machine, pull
out the plug of the mains.
The voltage of the electric source must comply
with the data on the index plate of the machine.
However, the machines marked with the voltage
of 230 V can be employed with the voltage of
220 V / 240 V, too.
Switching On/Off
Instantaneous switching on
To switch the machine on: Depress the switch
To switch it off: Release the switch
Switching over the gear speeds
The machine is equipped with a mechanical
four-speed gear box. You will choose the
required R.P.M. by depressing and shifting the
change-over switch, and then re-locking it. The
slow R.P.M. are situated in the direction of the
operating shaft. Any change of the R.P.M. must
be effected with the machine at standstill only; in
order to make the changing easier, you can turn
the operating shaft slightly.
