Installation of the columns
1.
Mark the wall next to both door frames
at a height of approx. 1 metre, completely
horizontally in relation to each other. To
this using a water hose or level.
See fig. 4.1
2.
Use these two marks to check whether the
floor of the installation area is level.
See fig. 4.2
3.
Position the wall guides (the profiles with
slotted holes) against the frames using
glue clamps.
See fig. 4.3 and 4.4
Make sure that the wall guides are at the
same height and are vertical. (If the sizes
between the two marks and the floor do
not vary more than 15 mm, then the wall
guides can be positioned on the floor).
Check the inside measurement (B)
between the wall guides. This must
be the same at each level.
B = inside measurement = clear width on
the order form. Note: this may vary from
the actual clear width!
4.
Use bolts to fix the wall guides to the door
frames.
5.
Remove the glue clamps and check the
precise position of the two wall guides
again.
6.
Clamp the carriage bolts for attaching the
flange bearings with O-rings into the
consoles.
See fig. 4.5
7.
Position the consoles in the upper recess
of the wall guides and fix them to the door
frames with one bolt through the
upper slotted hole of the wall guides.
8.
Check that both consoles are level with
respect to each other.
9.
Attach the console to the wall with the
remaining bolts.
