b) Power adapter
• Only use the included power adapter to supply power to the radio.
• The power adapter is built according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket (100–240 V/AC
50/60 Hz) of the public supply grid may be used as a voltage source.
• In order to disconnect the unit from the mains completely, the power adapter must be disconnected from
the power socket.
• The mains socket must be close to the device and easily accessible.
• Never touch the power adapter with wet or damp hands. There is a danger of life-threatening electric
shock!
• Never replace a damaged connecting cable of the power adapter. If the connecting cable is damaged,
the power adapter is unusable and must be disposed of. Repairs are not permitted.
• Ensure that the connecting cable of the power adapter is not crushed, kinked, damaged by sharp edges
or otherwise mechanically impacted. Avoid excess thermal stress on the power adapter caused by
excessive heat or cold. Do not modify the power adapter. Failure to adhere to these instructions may
lead to damage of the power adapter. A damaged power adapter can result in a life-threatening electric
shock.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not touch it. First switch off all poles of the associated mains socket
(e.g. using the associated circuit breaker and FI switch) and then carefully pull the power adapter out of
the mains socket. Never operate the product with a damaged power adapter.
• Do not place any containers with liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on or in the immediate
vicinity of the device or power adapter. Liquids may seep into the housing and impair the electrical safety
of the device. There is also the risk of a fire or a fatal electric shock. In such a case, switch off all poles
of the associated mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker and FI switch) and then carefully pull
the power adapter out of the mains socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair
centre.
