21. IDLING CARBURETION ADJUSTMENT

The injection system central unit is configured to ensure the optimal carburetion during the use of the motorcycle.
The idling carburetion needs to be adjusted in order to compensate the manufacturing tolerances and the engine proper
seat.
The adjustment is carried out by changing the injector opening with the engine idling.
In order to perform this adjustment procedure, proceed as follows:
The idling carburetion adjustment must be performed only on properly tuned-up engines.
First check: - spark plug - air filter- intake system sealing – exhaust system sealing - valve clearance - fuel
filter - fuel pressure.
Warm up and check for the exhaust gas analyser
reset.
Remove the cap (A) on the exhaust manifold and
connect the analyser by means of the specific
tool:

(PIAGGIO code 020625Y)
Connect the diagnostic multimeter. Move the key switch to the "ON" position, the emergency stop to "RUN"
and lift the side stand.
Select the menu from the function "ERRORS". Check the system for anomalies.
Select the menu from the "PARAMETERS"
function.
