1. General

Unit description
The K 160 eco-e fired with heating oil EL is a compact, versatile, well portable air heater for
heating and drying applications. It operates the same with and without chimney connection and
offers a high heat output in a compact, light-weight, however robust design. The WLE is for
commercial use only.
With its innovative burner technology, the electronic control, and the highly efficient stainless
steel heat exchanger, the unit is one of the most energy-efficient units of its kind.
Air heaters are designed for spot heating at repair locations outdoors and in closed rooms, for
thawing and heating of machines, units, and pipes, for drying of rooms, hay and grains, as well
as for auxiliary heating in emergencies.
An oil burner tested according to DIN EN 267 is installed. This operating instruction for the WLE
is always supplemented by the operating instructions for the burner issued by the burner
manufacturer.
Safety information
The units may only be operated by sufficiently briefed persons.
Mobile fuel container may only be installed and operated in compliance with the German
Technical Regulations for Flammable Liquids (TRbF 20).
Do not install or operate the units in oil-, sulfur-, or salt-containing atmospheres.
The units shall not be exposed to direct water jets (e.g. high-pressure cleaner).
One fan oil burners in WLE design tested according to DIN EN 230 and DIN EN 267 may be
used.
The safety equipment shall not be blocked or bypassed under any circumstances.
The units shall be equipped with a thermostatic control for unattended operation.
Fundamentally, the unit may only be disconnected from the power grid in cooled-down
condition.
The units shall be installed on plane surfaces in a stable manner.
