6. Before starting the equipment

6.1 Assembly
Warning!
Keep a minimum distance of 200 cm between the
n
front grille and any objects (e.g. curtains), walls
and other structural elements. There must be a
clearance of 50 cm between the side of the
equipment and any objects or walls which are not
within the radius of radiation. The distance to the
ceiling must be at least 50 cm.
6.1.1 Free-standing installation (Fig. 2 – 4)
Warning!
The equipment is allowed to be used only when
standing on a stable surface and fully assembled. It is
prohibited to operate the equipment on an instable
surface (e.g. on a bed).
Screw the bottom stand pipe (2) to the foot (1).
n
Screw the middle stand pipe (3) to the bottom
n
stand pipe (2).
Screw the top stand pipe (with preassembled
n
telescopic tube) (4) to the middle stand pipe (3).
Place the heater head (5) onto the top telescopic
n
tube (4).
Secure the heater head to the telescopic tube
n
with the securing screw M 6x10 mm (A).
The heater is now fully assembled and ready for
operation.
6.1.2 Mounting on a wall (Fig. 5)
Warning!
Mounting in a horizontal and stationary position
n
on vertical walls at a height of at least 1.8 m
above the floor is mandatory. The distance to the
ceiling must be at least 50 cm.
The equipment is not allowed to be fitted to the
n
ceiling. The heat emitted by the heater may turn
wooden ceilings dark in spite of observing the
minimum distance to the ceiling.
Caution! Make sure that there are no electric cables
or other installations (for example water pipes) near
the drill holes. Ensure that the equipment is secured
firmly and horizontally to the wall.
Use only suitable fastening material on a wall capable
of bearing the load. The supplied dowels and screws
are suitable for the following: Concrete, natural stone
with a dense structure, solid brick, solid limestone
bricks, solid lightweight concrete bricks and aerated
concrete.
To mount on a wall, please use the supplied wall
n
bracket.
The screws (E) are already pre-fitted according to
n
the model. If this is not the case, lock the holding
arm (D) and the sleeve (C) each with one screw
M 3x6 mm (E).
Transfer the position of the four drill holes (Ø 8
n
mm) from the wall plate (B) onto the wall with a
marker. Remember to allow for the minimum
clearances specified above.
Drill the holes in the wall and insert the dowels.
n
Screw the wall bracket tightly in place.
n
Fig. 6: Place the heater head on the wall bracket
n
and secure it to the wall bracket with the securing
screw M 6x10 mm (fig. 4).

7. Using the equipment

Important. Before using the equipment for the first
time, check that the voltage supply is the same as the
voltage details set out on the rating plate. Read the
safety regulations in section 1.
When the equipment is used for the first time or after
a long period of rest, it may emit an odor for a short
time. This is not a fault.
If black spots appear on the heating elements during
the first minutes of operation, this will affect neither
the quality nor performance of the heater.
7.1 Topple cut-out
The equipment has a topple cut-out. This will trip as
soon as the device is tipped beyond certain angle. It
will cut in again after the device has been placed
upright.
7.2 Switching on the equipment (Fig. 6 / 7)
To switch on the main switch, pull once on the
n
pull-switch cord (3). The LED (K) will light up.
To switch on the heater, press the button (F)
n
once.
To switch on the LED lighting (G), press the
n
button (F) twice.
To switch on the heater and the LED lighting (G),
n
press the button (F) three times.
To switch off the heater and the LED lighting (G),
n
press the button (F) again.
To switch off the main switch, pull once again on
n
the pull-switch cord (3). The LED (K) will go out.
