Installation

1. Roughly align the IR temperature sensor with the target object.
2. Position the sensor so that a maximum is set on the display scale (see Section 13 Sensor Alignment on
page 29).
If the alignment is not correct, radiation from the background will contribute to the measured value calculation and the
display value will be falsified.

Damage to the device from direct convective heat
Improper mounting of the sensor can expose it to convective heat, which will damage the unit.
► Install the sensor so that it is not subjected to any direct convective heat.
