3.9 Travel gear

3.9.1 Check axle oil level (front axle)

Risk of burns when draining hot oil.
1. Undo filling screw (c); the oil level must be
up to the bottom edge of the filling screw (c).
2. Replenish oil as and when required.

3.9.2 Change axle oil (front axle)

Change oil at operating temperature:
1. Unscrew oil drain screw (a), collect used oil.
2. Renew breather screw (b).
3. To fill, first clean drain screw (a) and screw
in, undo filling screw (c) and, if existing, in-
spection screw (d). See chapter 5.3.3 for fil-
ling quantities.
4. Pour in fresh oil:
45/2, 55/2, 65/2: bottom edge of filling screw
(c)
70/2, 80/2: bottom edge of inspection screw
(d)
5. Retighten filling screw (c) and, if existing,
inspection screw (d).
3.9.1 Achsölstand kontrollieren (Vorderachse)
Beim Ablassen von heißem Öl Verbrühungs
gefahr.
1. Öleinfüllschraube (c) herausdrehen, Ölpegel
muß bis Unterkante Öleinfüllschraube (c) stehen.
2. Bei Bedarf Öl nachfüllen.
3.9.2 Achsöl wechseln (Vorderachse)
Ölwechsel bei Betriebstemperatur durchführen:
1. Ölablaßschraube (a) herausdrehen, ablaufendes
Altöl auffangen.
2. Entlüfterschraube (b) erneuern.
3. Zum Auffüllen Ablaßschraube (a) eindrehen,
Einfüllschraube (c) und falls vorhanden Kontroll-
schraube (d) herausdrehen. Ablaßschraube (a)
muß vor dem Eindrehen gereinigt werden. Füll-
mengen siehe Kap. 5.3.3.
4. Neues Öl einfüllen:
45/2, 55/2, 65/2: Bis Unterkante Einfüllschraube
(c).
70/2, 80/2: Bis Unterkante Kontrollschraube (d).
5. Einfüllschraube (c) und falls vorhanden Kon-
trollschraube (d) eindrehen.
