V-belt tension hms/hmc3200ci, hmc2600ci

Open the side panel with the pin wrench.
Loosen handhold "A".
Push down the motor rocker
Tighten handhold "A".
Close again the side panel.

Unscrew the V-belt protection (1 cap nut SW 13)
Loosen the both screws on the left and right inside the
housing (arrow) pin wrench SW 5
Tip the planing machine, unscrew the bottom plate.
Pull down the motor console by hand.
In the case of sufficient V-belt tension tighten the screws
to the left and right inside the housing again.
Install again the bottom plate.
Screw on the V-belt protection again.
Feed roll adjustment

To guarantee a proper feed, the pressure springs have to be
adjusted to the opposite mentioned measures.
Exchange of the feed section roll

The coating of the feed rolls is made of abrasion resistant
rubber.
In the case of many years of stress a certain wear and tear
can occur, which requires the exchange of the feed section
roll.

Carry out the exchange as follows
hms/hmc3200ci, hmc2600ci
Unscrew the gear feed lever
Unscrew the right above covering. Loosen 5 tallow-drop
screws.
Remove the left covering. Loosen 4 tallow-drop screws.
Remove the left front panel. Loosen 3 countersunk screws
and 2 hexagonal nuts.

Unscrew the gear feed lever
Unscrew gear and V-belt protection.
2 cap nuts M6 and 1 cap nut M8.
Remove feed chain.
Remove feed roll (1) after detachment of the hexagonal
nut (6).
Re-arrangement of the chain wheel onto a new feed roll.
Installation of the new feed roll.
Finally complete the machine again.
Trimming desk locking

To avoid an unintentional closing of the trimming desks, the
trimming desk is equipped with a pneumatic spring (hms/
hmc3200ci, hmc2600ci) or an articulated shear (hms260ci).
When closing the trimming desk no additional locking has to
be removed.

The chipping at the planing is infinitely adjustable by an
articulated lever from 0 – 5 mm (hms/hmc3200ci) and 0 - 3
mm (hmc2600ci/hms260ci).
If the trimming desk shifts itself during the work, a
dimensionally accurate chipping is no longer possible. In this
case the four hexagonal screws (arrow) have to be tightened,
in order that the trimming desk holds self-acting the adjusted
chipping again.
