8. FM RADIO RECEPTION

8.4 Playing saved FM stations

1. If you are not already in FM mode, press the Mode button (1) until FM appears in the display.
2. Press the 'Preset' (3) button. The first saved station will be displayed.
3. Turn the 'Tune' knob (9) to display your desired stored station.
Press the Select button (7). The radio selects the saved station and begins to play it.
PLEASE NOTE!
If there is no FM station saved to a memory slot, the display will show 'memory slot X empty'. After a few
seconds, the display will return to the previous station.

8.5 FM display information

If you have saved an FM station, you can change the information shown in the second row of the display
yourself. Various types of information are provided by the station.
1. Press the 'Info' button (6) repeatedly to switch between display options.
Radio Data System (RDS):
This is a text with information provided by the station. This may include the name of the artist or song title, DJ
name, radio station contact details etc.
RDS information depends on the broadcasting station and is not available for all radio stations.
Programme type (PTY):
Such as 'rock', 'pop', 'talk' or 'news'
Programme name
Shows the name of the radio station programme if this information is available via RDS.
Time:
Provided by the station
